Documentary Film Production in Orange County
Pan Visuals is a documentary film production company based in Irvine, Orange County. We make documentary films with cinematic craft and honest storytelling: real people, real places, and stories told patiently, not forced into a script.
Our documentaries have covered universities, foundations, athletes, and local institutions. Some films raise money. Some build trust. Some simply record a moment before it disappears. Every one of them starts with the same question: what is the true story here?
We work with small crews and real access. Two to four people, no big footprint, no staging real life for the camera. That is the way documentaries should be made: close enough to be honest, quiet enough to be trusted.
01
Some stories are too deep for a 30-second ad. A brand documentary follows the people behind your company: how the work gets done, why it matters, and what it changes for the people it serves. It is your company's deeper story, told with the time and patience a documentary allows.
02
Athletes, teams, and the culture around them. Our sports documentary work grows out of real league experience, including NBA Summer League media. We film the training, the pressure, and the long road between games, not just the highlights everyone already saw.
03
Films built for fundraising and awareness. A good nonprofit film shows donors exactly what their support makes possible, through the people who live it every day. Honest stories move people to give and to keep giving long after the gala ends.
04
Universities and colleges have stories a brochure cannot hold. Our institutional films (including our Chapman University work) follow students, teachers, and programs over time. The result shows what an institution really stands for, in the words of the people inside it.

Our approach
Story first
We find the real narrative before we plan a single shot. That means research, real conversations, and time with your subject before the cameras roll. When the story is clear, every filming decision gets easier, and the finished film gets stronger.
Small footprint
Our crews are two to four people. Small enough to sit in a classroom, a locker room, or a family kitchen without changing what happens there. Real life does not repeat itself for a big crew, so we stay light, patient, and ready.
Full post
Edit, color, and sound are where a documentary becomes a film. We handle full post-production and deliver for festivals, web, or broadcast. You get one team from the first interview to the final file: no hand-offs, no lost context.
